Why did it take so long?

The serenity of a still landscape..
Reflects the peaceful escape..

The beauty of rising sun and dew drops..
Shimmering over breezes and colourful crops..

As you long for those bygone days..
The sunshine glows your heart with its rays..

Those strolls with friends of fourth grade..
Etched deep within, come out and wade..

Faceless voices shriek at times..
Losing reason and all that rhymes..

Enter this frightening state of mind..
To shine above all man kind..

Embrace what you kept running from..
That's the only way to bear this storm..

How did the sunshine turned into a storm..
Yellow golden faded into a dark grey form..

The stillness returns after the rains and thunder..
Why did it take so long for it all to end I wonder..

This is how all the notes were stolen.. Leaving only a long silence of the unkown.. I can feel the depth missing from my words.. When I should be glad of getting over you.. As the raindrops fall on dry concrete floor, Watch the circular spots merge into whole. How quickly the patterns are formed and  how ephemeral is their existence, Just like the glistening drops on thy lens. As the rain the sky gets filled with the hues of blue again, Look at the spirals and the eddies that form. When you swirl your finger in that puddle created after that storm. I seek you again..

I seek you again in my dreams while I sleep.. Asking for strength from old friends as I weep.. The old tracks are strewn with puddles and dirt.. Passers-by splash into them and shower us with mirth.. All I do is protect myself from going to that place.. from where is no coming back in either case.. Stealing security and sanity is no easy task.. In a world full of evil with thy goody mask.. Streets and tracks submerge into one.. Re-visiting that route where I would not have won.. Gathering new and old friends for fun.. This isn't a place from where you could run.. I enter a new world of wonder and awe again.. Steering off from the highway and narrow lane.. To keep driving without losing focus.. I still need an internal calming locus.. Therefore, I seek again for you in my dreams.. Looking for familiar and the lost beliefs.. The world around otherwise seems to shatter.. Lest I forget all those things that matter..
